Problems on vb.net and ms access

i am making an AMS-attendance monitoring system and in the interface where
the employee will enter his/her id number and the date and the time of
IN/OUT will appear in the database,my problem is the date on the
database-ms access is not right, for example the date today is 8/18/13 but
in the database it appears 8/1/13.
